Culturally Responsive & Neurodivergent Affirming Therapy in Ohio & Minnesota

A Space Where Your Whole Identity is Celebrated

Welcome to Diverse and Thriving Counseling — a warm, affirming space where each of your identities held aren’t just accepted, but celebrated.

You don’t have to hide, front, or “deal with” everything alone. You deserve a space where you can be you and show up however you need or want to in that moment. I am committed to providing a culturally responsive foundation while honoring the individual nuances of your story so the weight of “explaining” doesn't fall on you.

I’m an ADH(D) Black male counselor providing a neuro-affirming and trauma-informed space for those navigating trauma, systemic stress, and identity. While I am rooted in the Greater Cleveland area, I provide telehealth throughout all of Ohio and Minnesota ensuring that quality and affirming care is accessible no matter where you are.

Whether you are seeking EMDR therapy to reprocess trauma, navigating the complexities of neurodivergence (I’m talking to you my fellow late-diagnosed and late-identified adults), or just wanting a space where you can explore, and be you; I’m here to walk alongside you.

Who I work with

  • Black, Indigenous, and other people of color (BIPOC) seeking culturally responsive care to heal from racial trauma and navigate systemic stressors from someone who gets it.

  • LGBTQIA2S+ and Neuro-Queer folks seeking a space to navigate systemic challenges, celebrate identity, find relief from minority stress, and honor how your neurodivergence and queer identities overlap and shape your lived experience

  • Individuals coping with trauma, C/PTSD, or complex stressors ready for EMDR therapy.

  • Neurodivergent (ND) people looking for a space to navigate the Grief, Relief, and Belief Cycle as you process the “What ifs” and come to accept your brain’s neurotype. If you’re questioning your own neurodivergence, I provide neuro-affirming testing using the Cherry AADI — a diagnostic interview built specifically for adults that recognizes high masking, sensory patterns, and the lived experience of late-diagnosed individuals.

  • Anyone looking for a therapeutic relationship that centers your goals, values, and lived experiences as you “figure out” life/career choices.

How I help

  • Person-centered therapy that honors your voice and agency, recognizing that you are the expert of your life. My role is to work with you to craft the tools and the environment for you to thrive.

  • EMDR therapy to help you recover from past traumatic experiences, address present triggers, and build a greater future.

  • Practical skills for emotional regulation, resilience, and improved relationships with self and others.

  • Honoring the intersectionality of identities in all aspects of our work.

The Experience
